Barrie Watson operates under Telios Namibia Consulting Engineers (Pty) Ltd. and is able to offer a wide range of engineering and town planning services. Telios Namibia is a wholly Namibian owned professional service provider.

Barrie Watson has been working in the town planning field since 1971. His experience has covered forward planning, development control, suburban layout design and management of new growth and urban development at local government level.

To guide these processes he has been responsible for writing and putting into practice appropriate town planning policies. Mostly they deal with urbanisation which continues to be a major factor in Namibia's development. He has further contributed by acting as chief coordinator of the speakers and presentations at the 3-day Inaugural Namibia Conference on Strategic Spatial Planning for Urbanisation opened by the President of the Republic of Namibia on the 26th of June 2012 under the joint auspices of the University and the Namibia Institute of Town & Regional Planners.

He served on the Namibia Townships Board for 20 years until 2009 and has been the Registrar of the Namibia Council of Town and Regional Planners from its inauguration in 2000 until 2011. He has designed courses and he lectures on town planning related subjects at the Polytechnic of Namibia. Currently he is Head of Planning at Telios Namibia Consulting Engineers.
